|William Floyd Alumni Association Seeks Nomination for 6th Class of Outstanding Educators
May 19, 2015, Moriches, NY – Calling all William Floyd Colonials! The William Floyd Alumni Association (WFAA) is now accepting nominations for the
sixth annual Outstanding Educators Awards dinner scheduled for October 2015. All William Floyd teachers, coaches and administrators are eligible for
nomination, so now is the chance to recognize the William Floyd educator who has made the biggest impact on your life.
Nominations are due by June 15 and can be filled out online at http://bit.ly/1FiSLHD. Tickets to the awards dinner will go on sale late summer/early
fall and proceeds will go toward funding many WFAA initiatives such as student scholarships, community clean-ups, kindergarten welcome packs, food
drives, holiday adopt-a-family drives and more.
Since the inception of the Outstanding Educator awards, the William Floyd Alumni Association has honored 20 William Floyd educators. Honorees
include Bill Hennessy, Michael Merolla, Karen Poidomani and John Raptis (2010); Robert Feeney, Flora Metrick, Phyllis Siano and Phil Scotto (2011);
Michael Cordaro, Donna Gaspari, Paul Longo and Marge Sabbeth (2012); Jude Bouer, Chip Ezelius, Ed Pinto and Marianne Ritz (2013); and Ron Gross,
Laura Mole, Bill Pike and Mary Schultz (2014).
