Literacy Volunteer:

William Floyd Alumni to volunteer and/or provide donations for
the purpose of purchase, assembly, and distribution of supply
pouches for all incoming Kindergarten students in September
2012. Volunteers will be needed to assemble pouches,
distribute to students in the classroom, read a story and share
your William Floyd experience to encourage our newest class
about the value of completing their education.

The pouches will consist of but not be limited to pencils, crayon
packs, Elmer's glue, re-useable lunch bags, marble notebooks
for approximately 800 students.  Please e-mail your response
by June 30th to:

and contact number for assembly and distribution dates.
The William Floyd Alumni Association is looking to make this
an annual event and the assistance of any William Floyd
Alumni will help promote the educational benefits to our

WFAA has numerous volunteer opportunities available, both on
a continuous basis or as a one-time opportunity.

Continuous volunteer opportunities: WFAA’s committees
meet on a regular basis outside of regular meetings. WFAA has
openings on the following committees for volunteers:
Fundraising committee, Events committee, Public Relations
Committee, and Bylaws Committee

One-time opportunities: Each year, there are various events
at which volunteers are needed to help coordinate and plan
leading up to the event and/or are needed the specific day of
the event. Examples of these events are:
•        Distinguished Alumni Dinner
•        Music Alumni Concert
•        Graduation
•        Homecoming
